Peter Stavrianidis — 2nd Vice President, Events
Owner and Operator, Venus Jewelers

Dr. Peter Stavrianidis is an accomplished entrepreneur, educator, and community leader whose

work bridges business excellence, academic inquiry, and civic service. He is the principal owner

of Venus Jewelers, a fifth-generation, family-owned and operated enterprise that has proudly

served Franklin Township for the past 47 years. Under his leadership, Venus Jewelers has

earned a reputation not only for exceptional craftsmanship and integrity, but also for its enduring

contributions to the local community—supporting families through life’s most meaningful

milestones, strengthening neighborhood institutions, and upholding the highest standards of

professionalism within the jewelry industry.

A respected authority in the field, Dr. Stavrianidis is a Graduate Gemologist of the

Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a Certified Gemologist Appraiser with the

American Gem Society, and an Accredited Member of both the International Society of

Appraisers and the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. Beyond appraisal and fine

jewelry expertise, he has long been committed to educating others about the craft and heritage

of the industry—delivering presentations and instruction on the history of jewelry and the world

of precious gems, helping audiences appreciate both their cultural significance and enduring

value.

His academic credentials include a BBA in Marketing Management, an MBA in International

Marketing, and a PhD in Sociology. He has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at the

Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY), offering courses in leadership, business

management, and team development. A frequent speaker at business and academic

conferences, he has designed and delivered training seminars in personal and professional

development for diverse audiences across many professions.

Dr. Stavrianidis’ scholarly research spans intergenerational attitudes and behaviors among

immigrants in the United States, the Civil Rights Movement, interracialism, and multiculturalism,

and he has most recently completed a successful post-doctoral study on the history of the

Jews of Greece. His commitment to service is equally extensive, including board leadership

with the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce, the State Theatre of New Jersey,

Harvest of Hope, and other organizations advancing human dignity, religious freedom, civil

rights, and genocide prevention.

Dr. Stavrianidis resides in Somerset, New Jersey, with his wife Maggie and their three sons,

George, Jason, and Constantine.
